David Dillon, Esq.
David Dillon has been a partner in the law firm of Dillon and Nash since 1979, specializing in the field of real property taxation. Prior to that, he served in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office, handling civil trials and real property taxation issues representing the Cook County Assessor.
Mr. Dillon completed his education while employed in the railroad field beginning as a yard clerk and locomotive fireman with the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. He served as an assistant superintendent with the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, during which time he completed his Bachelor of Science in business and his MBA in Finance from DePaul University.
While serving as Director of Financial Planning for the Illinois Central Railroad, he completed his JD degree at Illinois Institute of Technology, Kent College of Law.
After service as an Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney, he entered the practice of law with the firm of Dillon & Nash, Ltd. In 1981 and continues that practice today, specializing in property taxation law, property tax incentive law and railroad law.

Mary Handel, Office Manager
Mary manages the Law Office of Dillon and Nash, and has been with the firm for five years. Mary has 40+ years of experience as a legal secretary. Her years of experience serving the legal profession has been invaluable; from keeping the office equipment and technology up to date, to the timely processing of our document work flow; helping to insure timely and successful outcomes for our clients here at Dillon and Nash..
Originally from Sioux Falls, SD, she has worked in the Chicago area since 1979. Mary currently lives in Glenview, Illinois, just minutes away from the Northbrook office. She works five days a week in her duties keeping the office operational at all times.
